The arena, which opened in 2013, has a seating capacity of 7,400, with 50 seats reserved for press and media and 30 for disabled visitors. There are also around 900 standing places available. The stadium features a heated artificial turf that provides ideal training conditions year-round, and it meets the requirements for matches up to and including the Allsvenskan.
Linköping Arena is located in the district of Kallerstad and was built to replace Folkungavallen as the city's main football arena. During the UEFA Women's Euro in 2013, the arena had a grass surface as it was a requirement for the tournament. However, after the championship, the grass was replaced, and the stadium has had an artificial turf since 2014.
